Learn how students become eligible, how to register, and why attending your assigned test matters.
Preparing for Your First Test
New students become eligible for the monthly belt promotion test after completing the following steps:
- Attend at least 6 classes.
- Earn at least 6 tape markers on their uniform.
- Receive the official testing paper and study sheet from Master Cha.
Completing the class and tape requirements is part of preparation. Students should register only after Master Cha has issued their testing paper and study sheet.
Students who pass their first belt promotion test receive a trophy and a white belt to celebrate the beginning of their Taekwondo journey.
Register, Study & Submit
Once your child or student receives the testing paper and study sheet, please follow these steps:
- Scan the QR code on the testing paper to access testing registration and review the schedule.
- Complete the registration and confirm the appropriate testing time.
- Review the study sheet and practice the required material before testing day.
- Return the testing paper and pay the testing fee at least 3 days before the test.
Please keep the study sheet available for practice. The testing paper must be returned to the school by the submission deadline.
DUE AT LEAST 3 DAYS BEFORE TESTING
Please complete registration, return the testing paper, and submit payment on time.
Receiving a Testing Paper Means It’s Time to Test
Continuing students follow a similar preparation and registration process. When Master Cha issues a testing paper and study sheet, the student is required to participate in the assigned test.
The testing paper is an instruction to take the next scheduled test so the student can complete the current training cycle and continue with the regular curriculum.
If a student cannot attend, contact Master Cha as soon as possible. The student may need to take a make-up test the following month or wait another 2–3 months for the next appropriate testing opportunity.
Follow the make-up arrangement confirmed by Master Cha. Do not assume that skipping the assigned test automatically moves the student to the next monthly test.
Why Testing on Schedule Matters
Our curriculum is organized into four training levels. Within each level, students study a shared set of curriculum material over a 2–3 month cycle.
Testing is coordinated with these curriculum cycles. When a student receives a testing paper, it means they are expected to complete the current cycle by participating in the assigned test.
Missing that test may require the student to wait until the relevant curriculum and testing opportunity return. This is why timely participation helps students stay on track with the school’s regular training sequence.
